Privacy & Cookies Policy

This privacy policy sets out how Taylor Tuxford Associates uses and protects any information that you give us when you use this website or contact us.

Taylor Tuxford Associates may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 1 May 2018.

GDPR

As of 25 May 2018 new data protection rules are in place for all businesses within the UK. We wanted to be sure that all of our existing and potential Clients are aware of how we use and handle the data we collect and why we do so.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is essentially a Europe-wide update of the current Data Protection regulations. It aims to give more control to citizens over how their data is handled, with scope to extend these individual protections outside of the UK.

Due to the size of our company, Taylor Tuxford Associates does not have, and does not require, a named person in charge of data management. Your details will be taken by your primary contact within the company, usually Michelle Tuxford or Rhys Taylor. These details will only ever be shared with other people in the company that are working on your project.

Should you have any queries about how we handle and store your data, we are more than happy to discuss our procedures with you.

What we collect

The information that we collect from you may vary, but will likely include:

  • your name and contact details;
  • the name and contact details of any contractors or other individuals working on your project that we may need to contact;
  • the address of the property or properties involved; and
  • other project specific details.

What we do with the information we gather

The data that we do keep on file is limited to the information needed for us to be able to complete our work thoroughly and efficiently. All data is kept securely at our offices and electronic copies are frequently backed up.

Taylor Tuxford Associates does not record your bank details on file and will never share your personal details with third parties without your permission.

Details of recent enquiries are kept in paper format only and are only retained in our office for 6 months, after this date any details we have are securely shredded. This is carried out every month by a contractor who shreds the sealed bags whole, meaning that they should not have access to any names or contact details.

Formal quotations issued by us are kept on file for longer, although they are stored electronically as with our regular job files and are securely archived after 12 months.

After a job is completed, we are required to retain a certain amount of information for insurance purposes – this insurance covers both ourselves and our clients. However, the data we keep at this stage is generally limited to project details and contact information. All unnecessary personal data is removed from the file before it is archived and all archived files are kept securely at an off-site location.

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Controlling your personal information

We may occasionally use your contact details to send you information about third parties which we think may be relevant to your project. You can request that we not send you such information at any time.
