Taylor Tuxford Associates are very pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Amy Taylor, joining as a Geotechnical Engineer.
Amy will work with Rhys and Michelle to provide geotechnical advice to complement and enhance our existing Building Consultancy services. She has previously worked at the University of Sheffield where she completed her PhD.
Prior to that she graduated from the University of Manchester with an undergraduate Masters in Geology before studying for a postgraduate Masters in Engineering Geology at the University of Leeds. She completed her PhD in Engineering Geology at the University of Sheffield in 2016, with her thesis titled “The Expansion of Pyritic Mudrocks: A consideration and application of physical tests for the better understanding of the Irish pyrite problem.”
Amy is an active member of BluCrew, an independent charity fund raising performance group with primary ties to Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice. In her spare time, her interests include crafting, gaming and working her way through as many books as possible.
