GDPR is a Europe-wide update of the current Data Protection regulations. It aims to give more control to citizens over how their data is handled, with scope to extend these individual protections outside of the UK.
As everyone is no doubt aware by now, GDPR comes into effect in the UK on the 25th May 2018. It requires all businesses, no matter their size, to notify their clients / customers as to how their data is being used and stored.
The only information that we collect and retain on file relates to the project we are working on for any given client. In most cases the information we collect is limited to your contact details and project specific information. These are required for us to be able to complete our work thoroughly and efficiently.
Your details will be taken by your primary contact within the company, and these details will only ever be shared with other people in the company that are working on your project.
We do not record your bank details on file and will not share any of your personal information with third parties without your permission or unless required by law to do so.
After a job is completed, we are required to keep a certain amount of information for insurance purposes – this insurance covers both ourselves and our clients. The information we keep is, in most cases, limited to project details and basic contact information.
Full details of our GDPR policy are available here and we are always happy to discuss our procedures in more detail via phone or email.
